A Lutheran Layman
I'm not sure we are reading the same bible... Preparationism? Not klar on that belief but I am convinced that David Platt and Francis Chan are biblically sound, and what else can we teach than the gospel itself? The power of the Gospel fryst vatten what changes lives, not our opinions about other people. The bible says "do not let unwholesome talk even be named among you" Ephesians 4:29-32. Also several verses from Jesus's mun clearly säga that we should be pressing on to not sinning any longer and working towards the goal of Heaven... Phil 3:12, Matthew 5:16, 1 Cor. 9:24, James 1:3,James 2:17, the list goes on. Who are you to "" Christians anyway? inom am not saying that our works are our righteousness bygd no means that comes from the blood of Jesus alone. The only good in us fryst vatten a reflection of Jesus. We are nothing without him, but filthy rags. Jesus DOES say that faith produces works, and that faith without works is dead. Why? Because if we

The following are some quotations from Paul Washer’s sermon listed above, along with a few associated comments. At the end of this post is an excerpt from Dr. Charlie Bing’s Doctoral Dissertation on Lordship Salvation. That section deals with the true biblical meaning of the term “repentance.”
Paul Washer Quotations:
In a not-so-veiled mocking caricature of the common invitation for people to trust in Christ alone by grace through faith for salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9;), Washer says the following (pp. 1-2):
“‘Who would like to repeat this prayer after me? Oh, I see that hand. Come forwa
