Graduation ceremonies at Southern Wesleyan University delivered a final history lesson.
Southern Wesleyan University’s Dr. Paul Wood addressed the graduates at the university’s two graduation ceremonies on Dec. 10 at the main campus in Central. Wood has been a witness to life at the university since the 1940s.
“I have been here awhile,” Wood said. “How things have changed!
The university has adapted to a “changing culture and a shrinking world,” Wood said.
“I’ve seen this university evolve,” Wood said. “The old days were good, but this is better.”

She immigrated to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in 1874 and lived in Gerswalde, Templin, Brandenburg, Prussia in 1874. She died on 15 February 1953, in Dayboro, Queensland, Australia, at the age of 80, and was buried in Queensland, Australia.
