    VUYO Mbuli, who has died at the age of 46, became one of South Africa's most recognisable faces and voices as presenter of the morning show on SABC2 and as a talkshow host on SAfm radio.

    In charge of the morning show with co-presenter Leanne Manas, Mbuli was a consummate professional. His private life was sometimes tempestuous but, no matter what was happening behind the scenes, he remained the same polished, seemingly relaxed, amiable, immaculately dressed pro in front of the cameras.

    He would come waltzing in minutes before the show's 6am start, displaying no sign of nerves and never flustered. Sometimes, while waiting to interview a guest, he would play Solitaire on his laptop. But this apparent insouciance hid the fact that he had been up since am going through the New York Times and other overseas publications as well as the local papers online.

    Vuyo made his TV debut in as a continuity presenter on SABC and went on to be signed as one of the founding anchors of Morning Live when the show premiered on 1 November, He started his radio career on SAfm in and remained with Morning Live until his death on 18 May

    He died after collapsing at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein where he was watching a Super Rugby match between the Cheetahs and the Reds. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.

    Vuyo Mbuli (14 May &#; 19 May ) was a South African television personality and news presenter at Morning Live. He began working as an anchor at SABC in with Tracy O'Brien and then worked on the debut show Morning Live in until his death.

    Mbuli died at the age of 46 after collapsing in the Free State etapp in Bloemfontein while watching a sport match.

    Mbuli worked for state broadcaster SABC and made his television debut in for TopSport Surplus (to become SABC 3) as a continuity presenter, and worked his way up to sports presenting and news anchor. He worked on Morning Live on SABC 2 si
