Nemesis is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in 1999 in Dhaka. They are one of the most popular rock bands in Bangladesh. The band rose to mainstream fame in the late 2000s and early 2010s with their hit songs like "Obocheton", "Kolporajjo", "Bir" and "Kobe". Since 1999, they have released three studio albums. The line-up includes vocalist Zohad Reza Chowdhury, guitarist Ifaz Abrar Reza, guitarists Sultan Rafsan Khan, bassist Raquibun Nabi Ratul and drummer Jeffery Ovijit and Dio Haque.

THE NEMESIS HYPOTHESIS
“SUPPOSE OUR SUN WAS NOT ALONE BUT HAD A COMPANION STAR. SUPPOSE THAT THIS COMPANION STAR MOVED IN AN ELLIPTICAL ORBIT, ITS SOLAR DISTANCE VARYING BETWEEN 90,000 A.U. (1.4 LIGHT YEARS) AND 20,000 A.U., WITH A PERIOD OF 30 MILLION YEARS. ALSO SUPPOSE THIS STAR IS DARK OR AT LEAST VERY FAINT, AND BECAUSE OF THAT WE HAVEN’T NOTICED IT YET. THAT STAR IS NEMESIS.”
THE HYPOTHETICAL BAND
The birth of Nemesis dates back to 1.1.1987. That day two Finnish schoolboys with mutual musical interests decided to form a band. Nothing unusual about that. Except that they had very clear image of how good music should sound – but nobody seemed to make such music at the time, so they decided to have a go at it themselves…

The NEMESIS Story
Five musicians decided that they were going to explore their own path in the music labyrinth of the world. They focused their attention on ensuring that their music express only their own emotions and moods. They didn't want their creative process to be influenced by day-to-day trends in popular music.
They released their self-titled debut album themselves in 1998. In 1999 they signed a recording contract with GU^LA Records Ltd.
Their second album "Abraxas" was released that same year. By the time the 1999 Hungarian 'Progfest' clubtour came around, NEMESIS was already one of the headline bands.
